The accommodation
Hello, La chambre bleu is one of our four rooms available on Airbnb.

Villa Louis is a seaside villa built in 1864 as a casino before its transformation in 1903 into a private Art-Nouveau residence by architect Jean-Alexandre Navarre and ceramist Alexandre Bigot

The villa is right on the beach, and all you have to do to get on the sand is cross the promenade/cycle path...

Inhabited since 1968 by a family of artists, the decor blends art nouveau, contemporary art, antique bicycles and homemade jams. The atmosphere is "holiday home" as we always have many friends at home we decided to offer several of our rooms on Airbnb.

We have four rooms, so don't hesitate to look at the others if this one isn't available on the dates you want, or if you're looking for several rooms.

In addition to the bedroom, you can use the gardens and balconies overlooking the sea, the dining room or the living room.

You can also use the kitchen, where you'll find a fridge, microwave oven and kettle close to the rooms.

Comfort conditions are a little rustic, others will say authentic, it's up to you... the room is furnished, equipped with a double bed and the view is directly out to sea! The room has its own en-suite bathroom, but the toilet is on the landing

As we're also in the heart of the village, all shops, bakeries, restaurants and supermarkets are in the immediate vicinity. You can park your car in the streets around the house, and bicycles are available for walking or shopping.

If you arrive in Caen by train, the Twisto line 12 bus will take you directly from the station to the house in 45 minutes. Full timetables can be viewed and downloaded from the Twisto fr website

Like Dauville and Cabourg, Lion sur Mer was one of the first seaside resorts built in the 19th century, and the villas on the Lion sur Mer / Hermanville seafront are a fine architectural ensemble built between 1860 and 1914 (brochure itinéraire du patrimoine n°125). Activities There are cycle paths, thalassotherapy centers, a sailing club and a tennis club, as well as many D-Day-related sites and museums to visit in the area.

For my part, I'd advise you above all to enjoy the beach, the countryside and the local specialities, seafood, fish, crème fraiche, for which we have some good addresses...

PETIT DEJEUNES, BICYCLES, DRAPS and TOWELS provided!

Traveler access
We usually welcome you via the street-side entrance, but you can also use the "sea-side" entrance to go straight to the beach...
Once at the house, you can do everything on foot (or by bike), with restaurants, bars and shops close by. All nearby parking is free, and there are several municipal parking lots nearby.

During your stay
We live in the villa with my family, so I'll be close by if you need anything, and we prepare breakfast, so coffee? tea? chocolate?

Other comments
please note that we don't have televisions in the house, but wifi is available in all rooms.

We have a total of four rooms available, visible on our Airbnbn profile. Don't hesitate to contact us for group bookings.
